IIT Gandhinagar to provide winter admissions for international students

Different graduation deadlines abroad make it difficult for international students to apply. IITGN plans to let them seek admission in the second semester.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) is introducing winter admissions for international students to its postgraduate programmes in engineering, science, and humanities and social sciences. The admissions will begin on January 4, 2022. The final date to apply for these programmes is December 10, 2021.

Previously, international admissions happened only in the first semester (from July). This was a hurdle for international students as there are different graduation deadlines in many countries. Hence, IIT Gandhinagar opened admission during the second semester too to ease things for international students.
“International students may apply online to degree-granting postgraduate programs across several disciplines through its PG international admissions portal” - says the statement issued by IITGN.
IIT Gandhinagar offers PhD and MTech degrees in the following subjects:

IIT Gandhinagar offers PhD in Humanities and Social Sciences and MA in Society and Culture too.
IIT Gandhinagar also offers different scholarships and financial aid for international students. This includes:

Tuition fee waivers

Travel awards.
Students from SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) countries are entitled to additional special scholarships.
