IIT Madras launches MTech programme in E-Mobility for working professionals; eligibility

IIT Madras Web-Enabled MTech Course: Selection test is scheduled to be held on July 7.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is launching an industry-focused Web-Enabled MTech in E-Mobility (WEMEM) program for working professionals. The registration is open now and the last date to apply is May 26.
The program spans across 7 academic terms, with 3 terms in a calendar year. Term 1, which marks the commencement of a new batch, runs from September to December. Subsequent terms are from January to April (term 2) and from May to August (term 3).
Elaborating on the program, Devendra Jalihal, chair, CODE, IIT Madras, said, “CODE has been the Nodal office at IIT Madras for all non-campus academic and outreach programs. We have been offering several Executive Education Programs and Web-Enabled MTech Programs for Industry Professionals and we are pleased to add WEMEM to this list.”
IIT Madras E-Mobility MTech Course: Eligibility
To be eligible for the program, applicants are required to hold a bachelor's degree in any engineering field with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 (out of 10) or equivalent to 60%. Additionally, a minimum of two years of work experience is required.
IIT Madras Web-Enabled MTech Course: Selection process
Prospective candidates will undergo a selection process involving a computer-based proctored in-person written test focusing on principles of Mathematics and Physics. To aid in preparation, applicants will receive recorded videos and sample questions ahead of the test. The selection test is scheduled to be held on July 7.
There is no limit on the number of seats, candidates who pass the selection test are eligible to join WEMEM. International candidates can enroll in WEMEM, but are required to come to campus for completing the lab course.
