IIT Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation invites applications from start-ups for its two programmes

NEW DELHI: IIT Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation (IPTIF)in collaboration with the Technology Innovation Foundation of IIT Palakkad (TECHIN) has invited applications from start-ups and entrepreneurs for its two programmes, AARAMBH and IPTIF Entrepreneur-In-Residence (I-EIR) Program.

The AARAMBH program has invited ideas in the fields of robotics, machine learning, software engineering and embedded systems. The foundation will evaluate the participants’ ideas on the basis of innovativeness, technical competence, social impact, and commercial viability.

The participants for AARAMBH can submit the applications by October 24 at docs.google.com .

Albert Sunny, director of IPTIF said, “IPTIF aspires to make our country a global leader in the domain of Cyber-physical Systems (CPS). To realize this, we plan to up-skill individuals at different technical levels, create various support systems for entrepreneurs and startups, and take up world-class R&D activities."

The second programme, IPTIF Entrepreneur-In-Residence (I-EIR) Program aims at inspiring the entrepreneurs to pursue their start-up and get critical feedback to promote their entrepreneurial goals. The IPTIF will facilitate the participants with co-working spaces for developing ideas into a marketable product along with a Rs. 30,000 stipend for a duration of 12 months under the program. The institute said it will give preference to applications from women entrepreneurs, under 30, and innovators with CPS technology business ideas with considerable potential for social impact.

Harilal Bhaskar, general manager, IPTIF said, "IPTIF hankers to make India a global leader in high technology by enhancing India's competitiveness in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). We will invest in and strengthen talent development, technology-based product development, and international collaboration, all of which will lead to long-term economic growth and job creation."

The innovators and startups can apply for the I-EIR programme before November 1.
