JAC Delhi 2024 counselling to begin after May 27; eligibility, participating colleges

NEW DELHI: The Joint Admission Committee, Delhi has postponed the JAC Delhi 2024 counseling registration. According to the official website, the JAC Delhi 2024 counseling registration will begin after May 27. Candidates will be able to fill up the JAC Delhi 2024 application form by visiting the official website at jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in.
The JAC Delhi 2024 counselling schedule is yet to be out. It is anticipated that there will be five counselling rounds along with one spot round. The JAC conducts the JAC Delhi counselling process for admission to BTech and BArch programs offered by five institutes- Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), DSEU, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D), and Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT).
Admission through JAC Delhi will be based on JEE Main 2024 ranks. Last year, a total of 6666 seats for BTech and 90 seats for BArch were available via JAC Delhi counselling.
JAC Delhi Counseling 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates can have a look at the JAC Delhi 2024 counseling eligibility criteria below.
- Admission requirements for BE, BTech programs at DTU, IGDTUW, NSUT, DSEU, and dual degree (BTech+MBA) at IGDTUW mandate candidates to secure a minimum of 60% marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics combined, along with a passing grade in English at the Senior School Certificate (SSC) exam.
- For admission to the BTech course at IIIT D, candidates are required to achieve at least 80% marks in the aggregate of the best five subjects, including physics, chemistry, and mathematics, with a minimum of 80% in mathematics in the qualifying examination.
- Alongside Class 12 marks, all applicants are required to secure a valid JEE Main 2024 rank.
JAC Delhi 2024 counseling process
The JAC Delhi counselling comprises four rounds, each consisting of the following stages:
- Registration: Candidates need to access the JAC Delhi admission application forms online and complete the registration process on the official website.
- Choice filling: Subsequently, candidates must log in and indicate their preferences for colleges and courses.
- Seat allotment results: Candidates receive their course and institute assignments based on their JEE Main 2024 ranks and meeting eligibility criteria.
- Seat confirmation and fee payment: Upon receiving the seat allotment letter, candidates are required to submit the fee payment, confirm their seats, and freeze their assigned seat if they opt against any further seat institute upgrades based on their selected preferences.
- Document verification: Following the payment of the seat acceptance fee, candidates are expected to visit the designated reporting center within the specified schedule for document verification.
- Reporting to the allocated institute: After the completion of document verification, candidates must report to the allocated institute for final admission procedures.
