JCECEB B.Sc Nursing basic and post-basic programme notification out at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in; eligibility

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has released the notification for B.Sc Nursing (basic and post-basic) Entrance Competitive Examination 2026 for admission to nursing courses for the academic session 2026-27. Applicants can check the notification from the official website of JCECEB at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.

According to the notification, the registration process has already started today, July 16, 2206 on the official website. The last date to apply for this exam is August 2, 2026. The board will open the correction facility till August 3, 2026.

After the correction window closes, applicants will not get any further chances to change the details in the submitted application form. Candidates who have examination-related queries can contact the helpline numbers 9264473891 and 9264473803 provided by the board.

To submit the application form for the B.Sc Nursing (Basic and Post-Basic) entrance exam 2026, follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official website of JCECEB at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in
• On the homepage, click on ‘Click here for All Online Application Form Submission-JCECEB 2026’ link
• Click on the "B.Sc. Nursing (Basic/Post Basic) Entrance Competitive Examination-2026" link
• Fill out the application form with the details, including name, father's name, date of birth, category/quota, etc
• Upload the required documents, pay the application fees and then submit
• Download the application form and take a printout for further reference

The examination will be conducted in two shifts on August 16, 2026. The Basic examination will be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm, while the Post-Basic examination will take place from 2 pm to 4 pm.

JCECEB B.Sc Nursing Admission 2026: Application fees

The application fees for both Basic and Post-Basic examinations programme depends on the category. Applicants who belong to the general, EWS, BC-I and BC-II categories will have to pay Rs 900, while aspirants belonging to the SC and ST category must pay Rs 450. Applicants can make the payment through credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI. The application fees are non-refundable.

JCECEB B.Sc Nursing (Basic and Post-Basic) Admission 2026: Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for the basic and post-basic programs are as follows:

B.Sc Nursing (Basic): Candidates seeking admission to the basic program must have passed class 10+2 with Science (PCB) and English core or English elective with 45 per cent mark from recognized boards (CBSE, ICSE, SSCE, HSCE or equivalent board). Students who have scored 45 per cent marks in National Institute of Open School (NIOS) Science examination are also eligible. Candidates must be medically fit.

B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic): Applicants should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination, or 10+1 exam prior to 1986. They must have a general Nursing and Midwifery certificate and be registered as an R.N.R.M. with the state nurse registration council. Male nurses trained prior to implementation of the integrated course should complete training evidence in specific nursing specialisations that has been approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) as an alternative to the midwifery training.
