JEE Advanced 2019 exam rescheduled due to general elections

IIT Roorkee has rescheduled the Joint Entrance Test (JEE) Advanced 2019 exam dates to May 27. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be conducted on May 19, but in view of a clash in dates with the general elections 2019, the conducting body has rescheduled the exam to May 27 for exam centres in both India and abroad.
There will be 2 examinations held under JEE Advanced 2019 which will be conducted completely in online mode through Computer Based Test (CBT). Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE Advanced 2019 will be conducted on May 27 over two sessions. The exam will be conducted by the IIT Roorkee under the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2019.

The marks secured by the candidates will be the deciding factor for admissions in Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs in all the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs). Both the examinations will be of 3 hours each. A total of 2,24,000 candidates are eligible to appear for the JEE and there will be total 11,279 seats available for admissions in IITs. The admission process will be conducted through JoSAA counselling on the basis of ranks secured by the candidates in the JEE Advanced 2019.
