JEE Main 2021 Analysis as per student's review

• Physics: - Questions were mostly concept-based and the paper was moderate in difficulty. Most students found the paper was moderate with questions distributed from all topics of the 11th & 12th class NCERT syllabus.
• Chemistry - The paper was easy to moderate in difficulty and questions were asked mostly from the organic topic. Numeral questions were a bit difficult.
• Mathematics - This section was moderate to difficult. There were questions from Integration, Probability, Matrices, etc.

IIT JEE 2021: Eligibility Relaxed for admissions

The authorities have announced JEE Main 75% eligibility criteria relaxation in class 12 for IIT JEE admissions. Earlier, candidates should have passed class 12 with at least 75% marks and have qualified NTA JEE Mains with good ranks for admissions into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.

NTA JEE Main 2021: Total Marks

The authorities have announced the exact pattern to be followed in JEE Main 2021 question paper. According to the same, JEE Main total marks are 300 for B.Tech paper. However, for paper 2 the JEE Main 2021 total marks are 400 for BArch and BPlan.

As per the statistics released on JEE Main official website, more than 6.5 lakh candidates are appearing for the JEE Main February 2021 exam. The authorities are conducting JEE Mains 2021 at 828 exam centres for paper 1. The JEE Main paper 2 was conducted on February 23 at 437 exam centres.

MATHETICS

-Overall, the Papers was calculative and lengthy compared to chemistry and Physics. 

-Questions were a bit tricky and also calculative. 

- Questions from calculus, coordinates were on a higher note

-The difficulty level of Maths was also Moderate, and the question asked mostly from Calculus, Algebra and Coordinate geometry.

JEE Main 2021 analysis by FIITJEE - Feb 25 Shift 1

• Mathematics – Moderate level. Questions were asked from chapters majorly from Co-ordinate Geometry and Algebra.  Few Numerical Based questions required lengthy calculations. Weightage was given to Chapter like Vectors, Matrices, Complex numbers in Algebra.

• Physics – Easy to Moderate level. Questions asked from Gravitation, Current Electricity and AC Circuits. Few Numerical based questions had lengthy calculations but were easy.  Theory-Based questions from class XII chapters of NCERT were asked.

• Chemistry - Easy level. Questions covered chapters like Chemical Kinetics, Electrochemistry in Physical Chemistry. Organic Chemistry was given more weightage. Inorganic Chemistry had mostly questions from NCERT.

JEE Main 2021 Exam Centre Arrangement

As per the NTA JEE Main 2021 bulletin, “jammers have been installed in all the centres," to avoid cheating and other malpractices. The notice also mention that candidates who are found unsing unfair means during the exam will be “debarred for three years in future and shall also be liable for criminal action and /or any other action as deemed fit.”

JEE Main 2021 result of the candidate caught cheating will be cancelled. “Similarly, the result of those candidates who appear from the centre other than the one allotted to them or allow another candidate or person to write the exam on his behalf will be cancelled,” says the bulletin.

JEE Main 2021: Special Provision for Diabetic candidates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has provided special provision for diabetic candidates. The candidates having diabetes are allowed to carry sugar tablets, and fruits (like banana/apple/orange) at the JEE Main 2021 exam centre.

JEE Main 2021 Paper-1 afternoon shift commences

The forenoon shift of JEE Main 2021 paper 1 has commenced as a computer based exam at 3:00 PM. The JEE Main 2021 paper 1 will be over at 6:00 PM. Only those candidates who had carried JEE Main admit card, self declaration form, valid id proof and other items mentioned in the hall ticket were allowed to enter in the exam centre. JEE Main 2021 Paper-1 consists of three sections - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

The entry into the JEE Main 2021 exam centre is now closed. The exam will get started at 3 PM.

Mathematics 

Easy to Moderate level. Questions were asked from chapters majorly from Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Algebra, Vector and 3D Geometry. Few Numerical Based questions required lengthy calculations. Weightage was given to Calculus.

Physics 

Easy level. Questions asked from Kinematics, Optics, Electrostatics, Magnetism, Current Electricity, EM waves, Heat and Thermodynamics. Few Numerical based questions had lengthy calculations but were easy. Theory Based questions from class XII chapters of NCERT were asked.

Chemistry 

Moderate level. Questions covered chapters like Chemical bonding, Co-ordination compounds. Heat and Thermodynamics had more weightage. Inorganic Chemistry had mostly questions from NCERT.

Sachin Yadav - “This was my first attempt and the difficulty level was moderate. Physics section was good with questions on topics including wavelength, atoms and nuclei. Questions on reactions from Organic Chemistry were more in number in the Chemistry section while numerical questions were tough. Mathematics was quite hard with well distributed questions. I expect a score around 160-180”. 

Sushant Rao - “This was my first attempt and it went average for me. Overall difficulty level of JEE Main paper 1 on day 1 shift 1 was easy to moderate. Physics and Mathematics were moderately difficult while the Chemistry section was tough. There were more numerical questions compared to theoretical ones”.

Each subject in JEE Main 2021 B.Tech paper will have two sections. NTA JEE Main 2021: Dress Code

Candidates should take care of the JEE main dress code while reporting at the exam centres. The following points must be kept in mind while reporting for JEE Main 2021 paper 1 (shift 1) exam-

• Shoes/ footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons will not be permitted inside the JEE Main 2021 exam centre.

• If religion/ customs require candidates to wear specific attire, they are advised to report at the JEE Main 2021 exam centre early for thorough checking and mandatory frisking.

• Students should wear masks and gloves all the time inside and outside the exam centre. The NTA will provide a fresh 2 ply mask to each candidate.

• Since students will not be allowed to carry any metallic item inside the exam centre, wearing any kind of jewellery or ornaments should be avoided.

What is JEE admit card 2021 self-declaration undertaking?

JEE Main admit card 2021 self-declaration undertaking is a part of the hall ticket printed on the first page. Every candidate has to fill the self-declaration form before reaching the exam centre. The self-declaration form consists of declarations regarding any symptoms of cough, fever, breathlessness, sore throat/ runny nose or body ache in the last 14 days. Candidates also need to mention if they have come in close contact with a confirmed case COVID-19 patient in the last 14 days. They will also have to mention their travel history in the last 14 days before their JEE Main exam.

JEE Mains 2021 for BTech starts tomorrow

NTA is going to commence JEE Main February 2021 session for B.Tech from tomorrow onwards. The exam will be conducted from February 24 to 26 in the morning from 9 am to 12 pm and afternoon shifts from 3 to 6 pm. JEE Mains 2021 paper 1 will be conducted at 828 exam centres for 6,52,627 candidates as per the statistics released by NTA. As per the information released by NTA, JEE Mains exam for BArch and BPlan will not be conducted in all four sessions. JEE Main 2021 paper 2 will only be conducted in February and May sessions. So candidates who wish to pursue BArch or BPlan through IIT JEE may note that they will get a chance to fill JEE Main May 2021 application form from May 3 to 12.

As the JEE Main 2021 exam for paper 2 of BArch adn BPlanning is being conducted on February 23, NTA shall release the official JEE Main answer key in one go for all shifts. JEE Main 2021 Result Date for Paper 2

The National Testing Agency is conducting JEE Main exam 2021 for paper 2 (BArch and BPlan) in two sessions, i.e. February and May. NTA has not announced JEE Main result dates yet for any of the sessions. However, as the NTA JEE  2021 exam is being conducted in four sessions this year, the authorities are expected to announce JEE Main 2021 results by the second week of March tentatively.

NTA has started JEE Main paper 2 exam for afternoon shift at 3 pm across 437 exam centres. The authorities are conducting JEE Main 2021 exam for BArch and BPlanning till 6 pm today. A total of 22748 candidates are appearing for JEE Mains paper 2 afternoon shift.

JEE Main 2021 exam centre gates are now closed. No more candidates are now allowed to enter the exam centre premises. Entry time was supposed to end by 2:30 but was extended by the authorities for a few minutes.

Candidates must follow the JEE Main exam guidelines mentioned on the JEE Main admit card. The same list of JEE exam guidelines are paster on the entrance of exam hall. No unfair means is allowed inside the exam hall.

JEE Mains 2021- Entry started

The gates are open now. Students entering the exam hall. Authorities are checking the JEE Main admit card 2021 and student self-declaration form. Hence, it is suggested to keep the JEE hall ticket and a photo ID proof ready to enter the exam hall.

JEE Main 2021 B.Arch paper- Entry will start at 2 PM

Students are waiting outside the JEE Main 2021 exam centre to get the entry. The reporting time for shift 2 exam is 2 PM and the exam will start at 3 PM. Students are suggested to follow the social distancing.

JEE Mains 2021 Exam Analysis of Shift 1 BArch paper

As per the TimesNow reports, the JEE Main B.Arch paper was moderate to difficult.  Ajay Mishra, Maths teacher at a coaching institute said "We are still assessing the paper. As per the preliminary reports from students, the question paper seems to be easier than previous years. With lesser number of candidates, it is expected that the cut off may increase this year. Of the total 25 questions of Maths, most of the students have shared that they have attempted all. Many students have done at least 10 questions right in the MCQ section,"

JEE Mains 2021 BArch and BPlan exam

According to the NTA JEE Main 2021 statistics, the paper 2 exam is being conducted on February 23 at 437 exam centres. A total of 63065 candidates are appearing for JEE Mains BTech and BPlan courses. Splitting the numbers, 31965 females and 31100 males are appearing for JEE Main 2021 paper 2.

NTA JEE Main 2021 Dress Code

As the JEE Main exam is being conducted by NTA, various guidelines are issued. Candidates should refer to the dress code for JEE Main 2021 and duly follow the same. Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic gadgets while appearing for JEE Mains 2021. Wearing mask at the exam centre is a must for all. Candidates wearing a specific attire due to religous reasons have to reach the exam centre well in advance for thorough frisking.

JEE Main Admit Card 2021

NTA has already released JEE Main 2021 admit card for February session of exams. For downloading it, candidates need to visit the JEE Mains official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. There is a link to download JEE Main admit card for February 2021 session. They need to provide JEE Mains 2021 application form number and their date of birth for downloading the same. It is an important document to be carried at the examination hall. Candidates have to make sure to duly fill the JEE Main self-declaration form 2021 before entry at the exam centre. 

JEE Main 2021 COVID-19 Guidelines

The National Testing Agency has issued several guidelines as a precaution against the spread of coronavirus to be followed by candidates at the JEE Main exam centres 2021 as shown below:

• Candidates have to maintain social distancing among each other.
• Face mask has to be worn all the time in the exam centre premises.
• Temperature checks taking place at the entry.
• The authorities carry out contact-free frisking for all candidates.

JEE Main 2021 - Check the Marking Scheme

• In JEE Main 2021 exam, 01 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer of MCQs. 
• For each correct answer, candidates will get 4 marks.
• There will be no marks for unanswered questions.
• For numerical value questions, 4 marks will be awarded for correct response and there is no negative marking.

NTA has released the JEE Main exam date for all the sessions. This year, JEE Mains 2021 will be conducted 4 times in February, March, April, May 2021. Below are the JEE Mains 2021 exam date

• JEE Main March 2021 exam date- March 15 to 18, 2021

JEE Main 2021 Self-Declaration Form

Candidates have to fill the JEE Main 2021 self-declaration form in advance. Candidates must bring the JEE Main admit card and duly filled self-declaration form while appearing for the exam. The process is to verify that candidates have read the instructions, and guidelines related to the JEE Main 2021. Also, candidates need to provide details if they have any health issues like– cough, fever, sore throat or body ache – in the last 14 days.

JEE Main 2021 Admit Card

NTA issued the JEE Main February 2021 admit card on its official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates must download the JEE admit card and get a print copy of the same. Candidates must carry a hard copy of the admit card while appearing for exam. 

JEE Main 2021- Exam day guidelines

NTA has issued some JEE Mains exam guidelines to be followed by all the candidates who are appearing for the exam. Below are some of the important things that they should keep in mind.

• Candidates should reach the JEE Mains 2021 exam centre well before the scheduled time.

• Only a few things are permitted inside the exam centre. Hence, keep only the important things and leave the unnecessary items outside

• It is advised to maintain 6 feet distance from each other.

• Candidates will get a fresh three-ply mask before entry. 

• For any rough work, A4 size sheets will be kept at each candidate’s desk.

• Candidates will be required to sign the attendance sheet only after sanitizing their hands.

• Candidates will have to drop their JEE Main admit card 2021 and rough sheet in the box after displaying it to the invigilator.

JEE Main 2021 to start today

JEE Main 2021 February shift 1 exam to commence at 9 am. NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2021 Paper 1 for B.Tech / B.E courses while the paper 2 will be held for B.Arch/ B.Planning courses. Candidates need to report to the allotted exam centres on scheduled JEE Mains exam time with all necessary documents like JEE Main 2021 admit card and undertaking. Candidates must follow the JEE Main dress code.
