Try NowNEW DELHI: The admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech in Chemical Engineering) in National Institutes of Technology (NITs) will be held on the basis of JEE Main 2024. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the counselling process for the 31 NITs.

The JoSAA conducts six rounds of counselling for BTech admission into NITs, Indian Institute of Information technology (IIIT) and government-funded technology institutes (GFTIs). The merit list for OBC, SC, ST and unreserved categories is released separately by the JoSAA. A total of 50% seats are reserved for the candidates from host states in NITs while the others are available for students from other states.
