JKSET, LASET 2024 exams postponed to May 11 due to clash with BOPEE test

Join Careers360 PremiumNEW DELHI: University of Jammu has postponed the Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test (JKSET) 2024 and Ladakh State Eligibility Test (LASET) 2024. The JKSET, LASET 2024 exams will now take place on May 11, 2025. The change has been made due to a clash with an examination being conducted by the Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) on the same day.
The university will issue the JKSET, LASET 2024-25 admit card in the first week of May 2025. Candidates scheduled to appear for the JKSET, LASET 2024-25 exams, can download their admit cards from the university’s official website at jujkset.in. The JKSET, LASET 2024 exam was initially scheduled to be held on April 27.
“It is notified for the information of all the concerned that JKSET/LASET-2024 Examination earlier scheduled on 27.04.2025 (Sunday) has been postponed due to clash with an Examination of Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) and now shall be held on 11.05.2025 (Sunday),” the official notice said.

The JKSET exam is designed to assess the eligibility of candidates for the role of assistant professor in colleges and universities across Jammu & Kashmir. It is conducted in two sessions on the same day.
Paper 1 is common for all candidates and tests teaching and research aptitude, reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness. Paper 2 is subject-specific and evaluates the candidate's knowledge in the chosen domain.
