Use NowThe Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has extended the last date for completing the online reporting process for round 1 of seat allocation. Candidates allotted seats in the first round of JoSAA counselling can now submit their willingness, upload the required documents, and pay the seat acceptance fee by 5 pm on June 22, 2025.
As per the official update, the extension allows candidates to choose among the available options—freeze, float, or slide—based on their preferences for the allotted seat. Along with submitting their willingness, candidates can also upload the necessary documents and pay the seat acceptance fee to confirm their admission.
“Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 1 and did not complete the online reporting process, can now submit their willingness (Freeze/Float/Slide), upload all the necessary documents and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee till the above-mentioned deadline,” JoSAA updated on official notice.
Candidates opting for the freeze option confirm their acceptance of the allotted seat and do not wish to participate in further rounds. Those choosing the float option accept the seat but are open to being upgraded to a higher preference in future rounds. The slide option is meant for candidates who accept the allotted seat but wish to be considered for a better choice within the same institute.
