Karnataka NEET PG 2025 bond policy

Students enrolling in medical colleges in Karnataka must complete a one-year mandatory government service after finishing their MBBS. In addition, those admitted through the government or All India Quota (AIQ) seats are required to serve a three-year bond in government hospitals.

Under Karnataka’s compulsory service, all PG and diploma medical students - except those who have already completed compulsory rural service after their MBBS - must undertake a one-year mandatory posting in government hospitals located in urban areas.

Accordingly, at the time of admission, a candidate must submit a bond in the format prescribed by the Government, agreeing to pay a penalty of Rs 10 lakh for medical and dental degree courses and Rs 4 lakh for PG diploma courses if they choose to discontinue their studies.
