Karnataka SSLC Exam 2025: Application deadline for recounting, revaluation extended to May 15

The KSEAB board takes the decision to extend the recounting and revaluation for SSLC exam application date due to numerous requests from schools and parents

The deadline for the application for the recounting and revaluation for Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exam 2025 has been extended by the Karnataka School Examinations and Assessment Board (KSEAB). This decision comes in response to numerous requests from schools and parents across the state to extend the dates.

According to the official circular, the last date for applying for the recounting and revaluation, which was earlier extended to May 13, 2025, has now been further extended to May 15 and 16.

Revised Deadlines:

Recounting and revaluation of evaluated sheets for online payment modeMay 15, 2025, up to 2:00 PM

Reason for recounting and revaluation

In recounting, the errors or omissions in the marking system are checked and then the marks get added. Whereas, in the revaluation, the answers in the answer script are reassessed by different examiners and then the marks are added. Both process can be done only after reviewing the scanned copy of the answer script.

The Karnataka SSLC 2025 exams results were declared on May 2, 2025. Students who are not happy with the marks can send their answer sheets for the revaluation and recounting.

Steps to process the recounting and revaluation

Step 1: Get Scanned Copy of Answer Script

  • Go to kseab.karnataka.gov.in
  • Click the link for “scanned answer script application.”
  • Enter your registration number and select your subject(s).
  • Pay Rs 400 per subject online (via card or net banking).
  • Once available, download and check your scanned answer script for any errors.

Step 2: Apply for Re-counting

  • Go back to the official website.
  • Click on the “re-counting application” link.
  • Choose your subject(s) and fill in the details.
  • Submit the application and download the confirmation receipt.

Step 3: Apply for Revaluation (Only after checking the scanned copy)

  • Go to the “revaluation application” section on the website.
  • Select your subject(s) for revaluation.
  • Pay Rs 800 per subject online.
  • Submit the form.
  • If your score increases by 10 or more marks, the fee will be refunded.
