Kerala NEET PG 2024 aspirants to be allotted exam centres within state: BJP chief K Surendran

NEET PG Exam Centre 2024: Kerala unit BJP president K Surendran said that Union Minister JP Nadda will announce the NEET PG exam centre in the state on August 5.

Use NowNEW DELHI: Kerala BJP president K Surendran on Saturday said that Union Health Minister JP Nadda has agreed to the request made by candidates regarding the allotment of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 exam centres within the state. He further informed that the minister will announce the NEET PG exam centre in the state on August 5.
Kerala BJP chief on X said, "On July 31, I spoke with Health Minister JP Nadda Ji and submitted a request letter highlighting the urgent need for this center. Today, JP Nadda Ji informed me that the request will be granted and the centre will be announced on August 5."
The Kerala BJP leader mentioned that several MBBS doctors in Kerala have been continuously requesting the establishment of NEET PG 2024 exam centre in the state.

He also shared the letter written to the JP Nadda on July 31 requesting the allotment of NEET PG 2024 aspirants from Kerala within the state.
In the letter he highlighted that there are thousands of MBBS Doctors from Kerala appearing for the NBET PG exam every-year. It was observed in NEET PG 2024 exam , that majority of the aspirants from Kerala were allotted exam centres outside the state, with most of them being allotted Andhra Pradesh.
This adversely affects the limited resources and finances available to them. "This issue is particularly significant given the crucial services these doctors are providing to those affected by the natural disaster in Wayanad District", the letter read.
Citing the above reasons the BJP leader asked JP Nadda to allot exam centers within the state for aspirants from Kerala.
NEET PG 2024 exam date
NEET PG exam 2024 is scheduled to conducted in two shifts on August 11. Earlier it was to be held on June 22.
Several NEET PG aspirants have taken to social media demanding reassignment of the allotment of test cities. Several students have claimed they received exam centres in another state which would be very far away from their current city. The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has written to the health minister JP Nadda seeking NEET PG re-evaluation of the exam centres.
