KIET Group of Institutions launches new electrical and computer engineering programme

NEW DELHI: KIET Group of Institutions announced a new electrical and computer engineering programme for the 2024-25 academic session. The program equips students with knowledge and hands-on experience in electrical and computer engineering. As per the institute, the programme is appropriate for students interested in the Make in India initiative, Atmanirbhar Bharat mission, and working professionals seeking career advancement.
The course is designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in core electrical and computer engineering subjects. It includes key areas such as programming for problem-solving, data structure, database management, and design and analysis of algorithms for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). It also covers core subjects like electrical machines, power systems, power electronics, instrumentation, embedded systems, signal processing, and telecommunications.
According to the official press release, the programme is suitable for students seeking careers in various sectors like telecommunications, power generation, automation, robotics, medical instrumentation, and electronics.

Speaking about the programme launch, the head of the department, KIET Group of Institutions, Neeraj Kumar Gupta, said, “We are proud to design and launch one of the innovative courses of its time. We realised that knowledge of both electrical and computer engineering domains is needed for system automation, industry automation, design of smart and intelligent consumer goods, intelligent defence products, and embedded systems.”

Through this degree, we will provide students the opportunity to contribute to projects and research that address real-world challenges, making them competitive and industry-ready,” he further said.
