Maharashtra 10th, 12th Board Exam 2023: Students to get 10 minutes extra to read question paper

Download NowNEW DELHI: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, or MSBSHSE will begin the Maharashtra Class 10 board exams on March 2, 2023, and the Class 12 exam on February 21, 2023. The Maharashtra state board has decided to provide additional 10 minutes to students for reading the question paper.
The Maharashtra board will conduct the Class 10, 12 exams in two shifts. While the first shift will begin at 11 am and will conclude at 2 pm, the second shift will start at 3 pm and will end at 6 pm. Earlier the duration of the board exams was three hours but as of now, students will get additional 10 minutes to read and understand the question paper or to complete their exam.
To ensure the smooth conduct of exams, the Maharashtra government has also taken several steps and implemented the “copy-free exams" campaign. The campaign will include shutting photocopy shops in 50-metre radius of the examination centres ahead of Maharashtra Class 10 and 12 board exams.

During a cabinet meeting this week, officials presented plans to grade exam centers based on their 'sensitivity' and prohibit entry of unauthorized people within 50 meters of them. Police presence will also be increased around the examination centers. The education commissioner has been appointed as the campaign's nodal officer, while the district collectors have been assigned to coordinate the campaign.
