MHT CET CAP 2026: 2.16 lakh engineering seats up for grabs across 380 colleges, 100 BTech courses on offer

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell Maharashtra has published the MHT CET CAP 2026 seat matrix for round 1 engineering admissions. Notably, the seats offered have been increased to 2,16,552 from 2,02,886, compared to last academic year.

As per the CET Cell schedule, students can apply for MHT CET CAP 2026 BTech form filling on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org, till tomorrow, July 30, through the login portal.

The MHT CET CAP 2026 BTech provisional seat allotment results will be declared on August 2. Students will have to confirm the engineering seat offered and report to the allotted college to confirm admission between August 3 and 5.

There are 111 courses available for students in 380 engineering colleges across the state. This year, the maximum number of vacancies are offered for Computer Engineering courses with a total of 30,993 seats.

This year, over 2 lakh students have registered for CAP engineering admission.

MHT CET BTech 2026 Seats Offered

Out of the total seats offered, 1,92,030 are available for all category students for CAP round 1 counselling, while 15,734 are for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and 8,788 seats are for Tuition Fees Waiver Scheme (TFWS).

MHT CET CAP BTech 2026 Seat Acceptance Fees

The State Cell has recently withdrawn the MHT CET CAP 2026 counselling revised BTech seat acceptance structure after receiving representations from various organisations and directives from the government. The MHT CET CAP 2026 engineering seat acceptance fee will continue at the existing Rs 1,000, providing financial relief to students seeking admission to BTech courses in the state.
