Ministry of Law and Justice, NALSAR Hyderabad offer online course on Indian constitution: Report

Any student who has passed Class 10 exams can join the online programme available on the website - legalaffairs.nalsar.ac.in.
NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Law and Justice in partnership with the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law, Hyderabad has launched an online course on the Indian constitution, the Indian Express reported. Interested students can apply for the programme on the website - legalaffairs.nalsar.ac.in.

Any student who has passed Class 10 examination can apply for the programme. The course was made available on the eve of Constitution Day, November 25, the report said.
The online programme offers 15 conceptual videos and the first video lecture will be available for the students upon registration, the report said.

Once the previous video is completed the next video will be available, consecutively. These videos will be available for a span of 6 months from the date of registration, as per the report.
While the registration for the programme is free of cost, those who wish to obtain a certificate of appreciation or merit, will have to pay a token fee of Rs 100, an official statement said, as per the report.

According to the report, through the course, students will learn about the fundamental rights, our constitution guarantees through the great rights revolution, the relationship between fundamental rights and fundamental duties, the futurist goals of the constitution as incorporated in directive principles and the relationship between fundamental rights and directive principles, powers of union and state executive, powers and role of our judiciary particularly its role of taking sufferings of people seriously through the Public Interest Litigation (PIL), president and prime minister relationship, ordinance making power and amending powers of the Parliament.
