Mumbai University UG, PG admissions open till July 15; apply at muadmission.samarth.edu.in

MU has extended the admission deadline for UG, PG and four-year degree programmes, while July 6 exams have been postponed following the IMD rain alert
University of Mumbai (MU) has extended the last date to complete admissions for the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and four-year undergraduate degree programmes. Candidates can submit their application form on the e-Samarth website of MU at muadmission.samarth.edu.in.
According to a university circular, all admission formalities must now be completed from July 4, 2026 to July 15, 2026 and it is mandatory for colleges to finish their admission process by July 15, 2026.
The notice reads, “It will also be mandatory to fill online / offline applications of the colleges in which the students want to take admission. According to the circular of Mumbai University, if there are vacancies after the admission process by declaring the merit list, the colleges should declare the merit list at their level and admit the students.”

The University of Mumbai follows the prescribed reservation policy for admissions, and all affiliated colleges are required to implement these reservation norms during the admission process. The seat reservation criteria is based on the State reservation policy.

Exams deferred due to rain alert
The University of Mumbai has postponed all examinations scheduled for July 6, 2026, following the heavy rainfall warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The university said the decision was taken to ensure the safety of students amid the prevailing weather conditions. The university will announce the revised examination schedule shortly on its official website.
