The NEET UG final answer key 2025 is now available. The subject experts have announced two right answers for two questions this year. As per the marking scheme, those candidates who have opted any one of the right answers will be awarded four marks.
5 things to know before NEET results are declared
With over 20 lakh students awaiting the NEET UG results, here are five important things to know before the NEET UG result declaration.
NEET UG official website - The NTA will announce the NEET results 2025 on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. There are high chances of the website glitching as nearly 20.7 lakh candidates will be checking their rank and scores obtained in NEET when the results are declared.
If the NEET official website is not working, candidates are advised to check the NTA exam portal, nta.ac.in, or examinationservices.nic.in, to download the NEET scorecard. Additionally, the NTA has published a demo NEET result link on demo.nta.nic.in to help candidates understand the process of checking results. The official NEET UG results 2025 will be released on neet.nta.nic.in.
NEET cut-off and qualifying marks - The NTA will also announce the NEET UG cut-off 2025 for all categories along with the results. The NEET cut-off is the minimum qualifying marks required to apply for All India Quota (AIQ) seats and state counselling.
As per last year’s NEET qualifying criteria, the minimum cut-off marks was 720-162 for general and EWS category, and 163-129 for SC, ST, and OBC-NCL candidates.
NEET scorecard 2025 - The NEET UG scorecard will have details of candidate’s name, exam details, marks secured and rank. The NEET rank will be used for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH courses, BSc Nursing, veterinary, and allied courses.
Candidates are required to key in their NEET UG application number, password, and security pin as displayed on the screen to download the scorecard. It is mandatory to submit the scorecard during counselling and till the end of the admission process.
The NEET scorecard will also be made available on DigiLocker and UMANG app. Candidates will have to use their user ID and password to access their rank card anytime easily.
Cancellation of NEET UG result 2025 - The NTA will not declare the results for candidates who have indulged in unfair means. According to the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, using unfair means or cheating in an exam is a non-bailable offence with punishments of three year imprisonment for individuals, that can be extended up to 5 years, and fine up to Rs 10 lakh.
The NTA does not provide any provision for rechecking or revaluation of NEET results 2025 as the OMR sheets are machine–gradable answer sheets.
NEET UG counselling schedule - The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will declare the MCC NEET UG counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 85% seats will be filled by the state counselling committees.
MBBS, BDS courses in AIIMS, JIPMER, central universities, including medical colleges under Delhi University and Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), BHU medical college, AMU medical college, ESIC medical colleges, PGIMER and deemed universities will be based on All India Rank in NEET UG 2025.
