NEET UG Result 2025 OUT LIVE Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued NEET UG 2025 scorecards on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in and Rajasthan's Mahesh Kumar is the NEET UG 2025 topper and at AIR 1, followed by Utkarsh Awadhiya at 2nd position. The NEET UG final answer key 2025 is also available now on neet.nta.nic.in. The National Eligibility Entrance Test - Undergraduate (NEET UG 2025) results have now been announced for over 20.7 lakh MBBS aspirants.
The NEET 2025 result date and time have turned out to be as per the schedule the National Testing Agency originally announced on nta.ac.in and neet.ntaonline.in, and through NTA X account.
Candidates can download NEET UG scorecard 2025 with the help of their application number and password. Along with the NEET result 2025, NTA has also announced the NEET UG cut-off 2025, which has fallen quite sharply for all categories except the Scheduled Tribes and the Other Backward Classes. The NEET toppers 2025 list is also out; Kumar, while NEET topper 2025, has achieved AIR 1 at a score of 686; there's no perfect score of 720 this year. Plus, there's only one candidate in the top 10 from Rajasthan and three from Delhi-NCT. As results are on time, NEET UG counselling 2025 is also expected to follow soon.
The provisional NEET UG 2025 answer key was issued on June 3 and students were allowed to submit their grievances by June 5. NEET final answer key 2025, also released today, has decided the results.
The NEET UG exam 2025 was held in a pen-and-paper mode on May 4 in a single shift, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Despite strict measures and changes in conduct of exam, some persons have been arrested for their involvement in unfair means and examinees faced issues such as biometric failure and power outage.

The revised NEET UG exam pattern 2025 made candidates write 180 questions on physics, chemistry, and mathematics in three hours, without any choice, unlike that in section B in previous years. NEET UG 2025 marking scheme remains the same, with candidates getting four marks for each correct response and losing one mark for wrong answers.
NEET UG is held every year for admissions to MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses. The testing agency introduced some changes in NEET UG 2025, following the expert committee’s report after the NEET fiasco last year.

Rajasthan toppers include Abhijeet (AIR 25), Manavendra Singh (AIR 102), Anish Bhidiya (AIR 194), Abhilasha (AIR 261), Piyush Bilwal (AIR 314), Pankaj Singh (AIR 189), Ashish Badiya (AIR 244), Nikhil Kumar (AIR 492) and Lavish (AIR 860).
The NEET UG 2025 result has shown a notable drop in top scores when compared with the previous five years. This shift is being attributed not only to the level of difficulty of the paper but also to the conduct of the exam, which saw no reported cases of paper leaks or impersonation. An X user pointed out the NEET UG 2025 result, saying, “This year's result score is lowest & last year result is no where near & tough paper is not the only reason but no leaks & no impersonation made a lot of difference. Well done NTA.”

In NEET UG 2025, the number of female candidates surpassed that of males, continuing the trend seen in previous years. A total of 13,10,062 female candidates had registered for the exam, out of which 12,71,896 appeared and 7,22,462 qualified. This mirrors last year's data, where 13,76,863 female candidates registered and 7,69,277 qualified. The female-to-male ratio remained steady across both years.
The highest score achieved in NEET UG 2025 is 686 out of 720, secured by Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan, who topped the exam.
The Medical Council of India (MCC) conducts the counselling for All India Quota 15% seats.

Candidates from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra secured the highest number of qualifications in NEET UG 2025. Rajasthan led with 1,19,865 candidates qualifying, followed by Madhya Pradesh with 60,346 qualifiers. Maharashtra ranked third, with 1,25,727 candidates meeting the qualifying criteria for admission.
In the NEET 2025 result, Mahesh Kumar secured All India Rank 1 with 686 marks, the only candidate to achieve this rank.
NEET 2024 results serve as the sole basis for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH courses, and 15% All India Quota seats in veterinary colleges across India, including AIIMS and JIPMER. Qualifying NEET is also mandatory for medical and dental courses abroad, with results valid for three years.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will soon announce the All India Quota counselling for NEET UG 2025. Candidates who have secured ranks in NEET 2025 can take part in the centralised counselling process. NEET UG 2025 scores will also be used for admissions to BSc (H) Nursing as per course-specific norms, BVSc & AH under the 15% VCI quota, and BAMS, BUMS and BSMS programmes through AIQ counselling conducted by AACCC.

After the announcement of NEET 2025 results, candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) will be shortlisted based on their NEET scores. The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) regulates the admission process, with seats available in government and private Ayurveda colleges across the country. The number of OBC candidates qualifying NEET UG 2025 saw a slight uptick, with 88,692 clearing the exam compared to 88,592 last year. In the previous year, under a different percentile band, the count was higher at 1,00,876. This year, the qualifying mark range for OBC candidates has risen to 143–113 from last year’s 136–107, pointing to a trend of increasing NEET UG cut-offs 2025.
Foreign national registrations dropped from 1,196 in the previous year to 939 this year, with 529 qualifying. The number of Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates appearing also declined slightly to 694, with 406 of them clearing the exam.
The category-wise qualification data for the NEET 2025 result shows a slight dip this year compared to previous years. For the UR, EWS category, the qualifying marks have come down to 144 from last year’s 162. Similar trends are seen across reserved categories, with the OBC, SC and ST cut-offs falling to 113 from 127.

The NEET 2025 cut-off has been reduced across all categories. For general category candidates, the cut-off has come down from 720–162 to 686–144. The drop in cut-off scores is likely due to the increased difficulty level of this year’s exam, which many students found tougher than in previous years.
More than 12 lakh candidates have qualified the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate 2025 (NEET UG 2025), where 9.37 lakh appeared.
More female candidates registered and appeared for NEET UG in both years. In 2025, 13,10,062 female candidates registered, of whom 12,71,896 appeared and 7,22,462 qualified. The trend mirrors last year's data, where 13,76,863 had registered for the NEET UG exam, and 7,69,277 qualified. The female-to-male ratio remained consistent across both years.
The total number of candidates who registered for NEET (UG) 2025 was 22,76,069. This marks a decline from 2024, when 24,06,079 students had registered. The drop amounts to a decrease of nearly 1,30,000 candidates, suggesting a shift in exam participation trends this year.
