NEET UG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 results. Candidates can now access their NEET result 2025 on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, using their login credentials.
A total of 22,09,318 candidates appeared for the NEET UG 2025, of which 12,36,531 qualified. Candidates who qualified for the exam can participate in the NEET UG counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Candidates will have to register for the counselling on the MCC’s official website, mcc.nic.in, once the dates are announced. The NEET UG counselling 2025 includes registration, counselling fee and filling in preferences to participate in the counselling process.
NTA declared the result along with a list of toppers. Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan, Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh, and Avika Aggarwal from Delhi secured the top positions. The NEET UG 2025 exam was held on May 4 in pen-and-paper-based mode in a single shift from 2 pm to 4 pm.
MCC conducts counselling for the All India Quota (AIQ) 15% of the government seats, 100% seats of deemed and central universities such as Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMAR), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), including others. For the state quota, 85% of seats are offered and 100% for the private colleges of the states.
To apply for MCC NEET counselling 2025, candidates will require NEET admit card, NEET scorecard, Class 12 and 10 certificates, ID proof, provisional allotment letter, caste certificate, PwD certificate and other documents.
NTA conducts the NEET UG entrance exam for admission to medical courses, including MBBS, BDS, Dental, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS in top institutes across the country.

Post NEET UG result 2025 declaration, several doctors and medical community have spoken against an MBBS degree from abroad, claiming that the foreign medical graduates suffer and it is a false hope for medical aspirants.
"Dear NEET-UG aspirants - Say no to MBBS abroad. Do something else - because it was worth it earlier, but not anymore. If you still choose it, be ready to spend 8-10 years just to complete your MBBS," a doctor said online.
The list of documents required for NEET UG counselling 2025 is as follows.
Candidates who have obtained a rank in NEET UG result 2025 can use the free NEET UG college predictor 2025 to know their probable chances of admissions into their dream colleges. The predictor tool uses AI to chalk out a list of colleges. Aspirants are required to provide their data on application number, marks, rank, and others to use the tool.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will conduct the NEET UG counselling 2025 for 15% of All India Quota seats in deemed universities, central universities, ESIC and AFMC, BHU, and AMU.

Currently, there are more than 55,600 government MBBS seats in India, offered in various government medical colleges across the country.
Last year's closing rank for BHMS NEET for Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, New Delhi, was the highest, 57390, and the lowest was for Thiruvananthapuram college, at 202493.

NEET 2025 qualifiers can take admission to the bachelor of ayurvedic medicine and surgery (BAMS). The ministry of AYUSH made NEET mandatory for admission to BAMS from the academic year 2019-20.
