NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar has declared the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 result. Candidates who have appeared for the exam will be able to access and download the NEST 2024 result by visiting the official website, nestexam.in. The NEST 2024 examination was conducted on June 30 in online mode.
NEST 2024 was held in two shifts from 9 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 6 pm. The NEST 2024 answer key was out on July 5. Candidates could submit objections by emailing the relevant NEST authorities before 11 am on July 7. Each exam section (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics) had its own designated email address for objections. When submitting objections, candidates were required to include supporting documents and provide a clear explanation.

NEST Result 2024: Merit list preparation
The ranking of candidates will be determined based on percentile scores from their best three section scores. The NEST 2024 merit list is prepared according to the following criteria:
- Candidates must score above the Section-Wise Minimum Admissible Score(SAMS) in at least three subjects.
- To obtain a merit rank, candidates must achieve a total Minimum Admissible Percentile (MAP).
- In case of a tie, where two or more candidates have the same percentile, their best section scores will be compared. The candidate with the higher section score will receive the better rank.
- If the tie persists, the tie will be resolved by comparing their Class 12 marks during admission or counseling.
- If the tie still remains, the younger candidate will be given a higher rank.
