The registration for the NIFT entrance exam has started and will end on January 2, 2024. Candidates can register for the entrance exam on the official website, nift.ac.in.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates appearing for bachelor’s programmes (BDes and BFTech) entrance exa, should be less than 24 years as on August q of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of five years for candidates of SC/ST/PWD categories.
For master’s programmes (MDes, MFM and MFTech) and Ph.D, there is No age limit
Exam fee
Candidates of open, open-EWS and OBC (NCL) will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 3,000. Those from SC, ST and PwD categories will have to pay Rs 1,500 as registration fee. Candidates of open, open-EWS, OBC (NCL) categories applying for two programmes, BDes and BFTech, will have to pay Rs 4,500 while those from SC, ST and PwD categories will have to submit a Rs 2,250 registration fee. Candidates can submit of online application forms with late fees of Rs 5,000 from January 4 to 8, 2024.
The exam fee is also required to be paid online through payment gateway, using debit/credit cards or internet banking

The exam pattern of NIFT entrance exam 2024 for the Creative Ability Test namely CAT has not been released by the authorities yet. Candidates are advsied to focus on concept development and design as questions will be designed to test them in these areas. They must be creative and make innovative use of their colour and illustration skills.
Scheme/duration/medium/syllabus of examination, programme wise intake, reservation of seats, exam cities, eligibility criteria, education qualification, passing requirements, important dates, etc., relating to the exam are contained in the prospectus which is hosted on nta.ac.in.
