NTA begins SHRESHTA NETS 2025 registration for admissions of SC students to Class 9, 11

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process for the National Entrance Test for Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Classes in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA NETS) 2025. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/SHRESHTA/.
The last date to fill the SHRESHTA NETS 2025 application form is May 5. NTA will open the application correction window from May 6 to 7.
Students will be able to download the SHRESHTA NETS 2025 admit card from May 25. The exam will be conducted on June 1, 2025 from 2 pm to 5 pm in offline mode for admission of Scheduled Caste (SC) students to Classes 9, 11.
The scheme provides high-quality education to meritorious SC students in Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)-affiliated residential schools. Around 3,000 seats will be reserved.
As per the eligibility criteria, parent income of candidates applying for the SHRESHTA NETS should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh per year. Students belonging to scheduled castes studying in Class 8 and 10 can apply.

SHRESHTA NETS 2025: Documents required
Applicants are required to upload the scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.
- The recent photograph should be either in colour or black and white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
- Scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible).
- Scanned category certificate/undertaking should be in PDF format (clearly legible).
- Scanned income certificate should be in PDF format (clearly legible).
- The size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 100 kb (clearly legible).
- The size of the scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 100 kb (clearly legible)
- The size of the scanned Category Certificate/Undertaking should be between 30 kb to 150 kb (clearly legible).
- The size of the Income certificate should be between 30 kb to 150 kb (clearly legible).
SHRESHTA NETS 2025 exam pattern
SHRESHTA NETS 2025 exam will be held for a duration of three hours or 180 minutes and students will have to attempt 100 questions. The question paper will comprise 30 questions on mathematics, 20 on science, 25 each on social science and general knowledge or awareness.
Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking.
