NTA will hold January 2026 semester exams for SWAYAM courses on June 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, in hybrid mode.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the exam dates for the January 2026 semester of the Study Webs of Active-learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM). As per the schedule, the January semester exams will be held on June 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21.
The SWAYAM exams will be conducted for three hours in two shifts each day: the first shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The NTA has scheduled June 22 and 23, 2026, as reserve dates to handle any technical or administrative problems.
The registration process for SWAYAM January 2026 will begin soon on the official NTA website, exams.nta.nic.in/swayam/.

The SWAYAM exams will be conducted for 648 courses in hybrid mode, which includes Computer-Based Tests (CBT) and Pen-and-Paper tests. The question paper will be in English, except for language papers, which will be held in their respective languages.
NTA SWAYAM January 2026: Exam pattern
As per the NTA SWAYAM exam pattern, 66 papers will have 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of one mark each, while 463 papers will have 50 MCQs of two marks each.
Another 65 papers will be conducted in hybrid mode with 35 questions, including 20 MCQs in CBT mode, 10 short-answer questions in pen-and-paper mode, and 7 long-answer questions in pen-and-paper mode.
In the hybrid papers, section A will carry 1-mark questions, section B will have 3-mark questions, and section C will carry 10-mark questions.
According to the marking scheme, there are no negative marks for incorrect answers in the MCQs.
