NTA updates results of 76 MP NEET UG candidates; counselling registration now open

Enrol NowThe National Testing Agency (NTA) has updated the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 results of 76 candidates from Madhya Pradesh whose scores were earlier withheld. The updated results have now been added to the state database. With this, the affected candidates can begin profile creation and register for the ongoing NEET 2025 counselling process.
The testing agency declared the NEET UG 2025 result for these 76 candidates on July 14. The results had been put on hold after several candidates who took the exam at centres in Indore and Ujjain moved the Madhya Pradesh High Court seeking a re-test, alleging that a power outage during the exam disrupted their performance and placed them at a disadvantage compared to other test-takers.
“Result of 76 candidates whose withheld results were declared on 14. July 2025 by NTA has been updated in the State database. Now, eligible Candidates can initiate profile creation and registration for counselling,” the official notice said.
MP NEET UG Counselling 2025: Register by July 29
The NEET UG counselling 2025 for Madhya Pradesh is overseen by the state’s Directorate of Medical Education (DME), which manages seat allocation under the 85 per cent state quota. The last date to register for the MP NEET UG counselling 2025 is July 29. MP NEET UG seat allotment result 2025 will be declared on August 6. Eligible candidates can register for the MP NEET UG counselling 2025 at dme.mponline.gov.in.
The NEET UG 2025 counselling registration is also ongoing, and the last date to complete the registration process is July 28. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts NEET UG counselling 2025 to offer admission to MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses under the 15 per cent All India Quota.
A single-judge bench had initially directed NTA to conduct a re-test for the affected students, but the order was stayed by a division bench on NTA’s appeal. The court noted that the incident was not widespread and allowed the agency to go ahead with the result declaration for the 76 candidates.
