Rajasthan LDC Exam 2026: Congress leader Govind Singh Dotasra questioned why the case was registered only as cheating despite allegations of paper leak.
A controversy has erupted over the Rajasthan Lower Division Clerk (LDC) grade 2/junior assistant combined direct recruitment examination 2026 after the Jaisalmer police arrested two people for allegedly facilitating cheating at an examination centre.
Congress leader Govind Singh Dotasra has alleged that this incident indicates a possible question paper leak and has demanded a thorough investigation into the matter.
According to a statement issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Jaisalmer, the arrests were made on July 8 following an investigation into complaints received during the second shift of the LDC examination held on July 5, 2026.

The police mentioned in the statement that the case pertains to the Swami Vivekananda Government Model School, located near the BSF campus on Ramgarh road in Jaisalmer, where candidates had raised complaints regarding irregularities during the LDC examination.
Case registered
As per the official statement, a complaint was lodged by the Chief District Education Officer, Jaisalmer, after an inquiry into the allegations. Later, a case was registered under the Rajasthan Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment Examinations) Act, 2022, as amended in 2023.
Police found that a relieving teacher allegedly helped a female candidate cheat during the examination. The accused were arrested on July 8, and further investigation is underway to determine all aspects of the case.
According to a police statement, the two arrested individuals have been identified as Padam Singh, a 56-year-old resident of Lodrava in Jaisalmer, and Manu Kanwar, a 25-year-old resident of Nimbli village in Jaisalmer district.
Congress questions cheating case
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra questioned why the police registered the case only as one of cheating despite allegations that the examination paper had been sent outside the examination centre.

In a post on X, Dotasra alleged "serious allegations" regarding paper leak during the ongoing LDC examination in Jaisalmer. He asked whether registering the case only for facilitating cheating was an attempt to suppress a possible paper leak.
The Congress leader urged the BJP-led state government to clarify the matter, saying candidates deserved transparency in the recruitment process. He also urged the authorities to uncover the truth behind the alleged paper leak.
