Is 470 a good score in NEET 2026?
Based on previous years’ admission trends, a score of 470 in NEET is generally considered below the range required for admission to most government MBBS colleges. Typically, candidates scoring above 700 have a strong chance of securing seats in AIIMS and other premier central institutions. Scores of 650 and above are often sufficient for admission to leading government medical colleges, while marks above 600 may remain competitive under various state quotas. Candidates in the 500–600 score bracket may find opportunities in deemed universities and some private medical colleges. For those scoring below 500, options often include BDS, AYUSH courses, or private medical institutions, depending on the counselling process and seat availability.
