Meanwhile, the NTA has activated a correction facility for candidates appearing in the re-examination, allowing them to update address details and revise their preferred exam city options. The correction process will remain available till May 21.
The revised NEET UG 2026 admit cards are likely to be issued approximately one week before the exam date. Earlier, the Centre transferred the probe into the alleged malpractice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) after the NTA withdrew the examination over concerns regarding compromise of the paper.

According to a Hindustan Times report, the CBI informed a Delhi court that investigators suspect the alleged leak may have originated from within the NTA system itself.
The agency reportedly claimed that accused Shubham Khairnar received access to the leaked paper through a Pune-based contact connected to an alleged “NTA source”. Officials are now examining the possible involvement of insiders and public officials in the network.
The CBI has so far detained multiple accused from states including Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Haryana. During searches, investigators reportedly recovered leaked documents, chat records and electronic evidence.
The agency also informed the court that a PDF containing nearly 500 to 600 questions had allegedly circulated on Telegram from April 29, days before the exam, and around 180 questions were said to match the final NEET UG 2026 paper.
