Schools to remain closed in Bareilly, Prayagraj due to cold wave

Schools in Bareilly and Prayagraj district will remain closed for students of nursery to Class 8 till January 14 and 7, respectively.
NEW DELHI: Schools in Bareilly district will remain closed till January 14 due to severe cold wave and fog in the state. Bareilly district magistrate (DM) Ravinder Kumar told the ANI that holidays have been announced for students studying in nursery to Class 8 in the district due to dip in the temperature.
The cold wave has also affected the functioning of schools in Prayagraj district. Schools will open in Prayagraj district for students of nursery to Class 8 on January 8, the Hindustan reported. As per the order of the Prayagraj district magistrate, winter vacation has been declared till January 6 (Saturday) in all government, aided, private and CBSE, CISCE affiliated schools. Earlier, the district administration had revised the timings of these classes. The schools were directed to start at 10 am and end at 3 pm.
Timings revised in Pilibhit
The Pilibhit administration has revised the opening timings of secondary schools and CBSE schools across the district, the Hindustan reported. Secondary schools will open at 10 am in order to provide relief to students from the cold wave.

District inspector of school Girjesh Kumar Choudhary has issued orders to the principals of government, non-government aided, unaided, recognised and CBSE schools across the district informing about the revised timings. The schools will close at 2.30 pm. The revised timings will be in effect till January 7, the Hindustan reported.
