SPJIMR Placements: PGDM 2022 batch gets Rs 32.05 lakh average salary; Rs 53.16 lakh top offer

NEW DELHI: The SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) announced the final placements for the PGDM 2022 batch, with Rs 53.16 lakh per annum as the highest salary, marking a 14 percent increase compared to the previous year. According to a statement from SPJIMR, as many as 70 companies participated in the SPJIMR placement drive, with 33 first-time recruiters.

According to the statement, the PGDM 2022 batch students were offered an average annual salary of Rs 32.05 lakh. This is a 23 percent increase from last year’s average, it claims.

The median annual salary offered this year, as per the statement is Rs 30.10 lakh per annum. More than 59 percent of the PGDM 2022 batch were offered an annual salary above Rs 30 lakh and over 87 percent were offered above Rs 25 lakh per annum.

SP Jain placements by sector

Most offers came from the consulting sector, with up to 38 percent of the batch of 238 participants, 91 students being offered opportunities by consulting companies. This is the highest number of offers the sector has ever made to a batch of SP Jain students.

Many offers came from the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector too, as 22 percent of the batch received offers from the sector. The institute also saw a record number of pre-placement offers (PPOs) with over 52 percent of the batch receiving PPOs from many companies. The students received as many as 123 PPOs.

As per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) data, SPJIMR recorded a 100 percent placement in the academic year 2019-20 with all 239 students getting placed with a median salary of Rs 25 lakh.

Companies such as Deloitte, Accenture Strategy, Alvarez and Marsal, Bain and Co., Boston Consulting Group, GEP, Asian Paints, Colgate-Palmolive, Hindustan Unilever, ITC participated in the SPJIMR placement drive.
