SSC starts registration for 2,049 vacancies at ssc.gov.in; apply till March 18

The SSC will conduct the CBT for various posts of the ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions from May 6 to 8.
NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the application process for 2,049 vacancies of various posts in the ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions. Students can apply for the posts on the official website, ssc.gov.in. The SSC is conducting the recruitment for 255 posts of scheduled caste, 124 of scheduled tribe, 456 of other backward castes, 1,028 of unreserved categories and 186 of economically weaker sections.
The registration process will continue till March 18, following which the window for application form correction will be open from March 22 to 24. The SSC will conduct the computer-based test from May 6 to 8.
Examination fee
Candidates will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 100, which can be paid online only through payment modes namely BHIM UPI, netbanking, or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay credit or debit card. Women candidates and applicants from SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen will not have to pay any fee. The online fee can be paid by the candidates till March 19.
The SSC will charge Rs 200 as correction fee for making editing and re-submitting modified or corrected applications for the first time and Rs 500 for the second time. The correction charges will be applicable to all candidates irrespective of their gender and categories.

SSC exam pattern
The SSC will conduct three separate CBT exams consisting of objective type multiple-choice questions, for the posts with minimum educational qualification of matriculation, higher secondary, and graduation and above levels. Students will be awarded 2 marks for each correct answer while 0.5 marks will be deducted for every wrong response. Students will get 60 minutes to attempt the question paper
