The ‘virtual showcase’ with involve interaction between 20 Irish institutions with Indian students hoping to study in Ireland
NEW DELHI : For Indian students hoping to study in Ireland, 20 Irish institutions of higher education will participate in a “virtual showcase” for interaction on February 27, said a statement from Education in Ireland, a government agency.
The online event will see the participation of 20 institutions offering undergraduate programmes in business, science, engineering, and humanities. Students will be able to interact with the academic staff and clear their doubts.
They can also clear their doubts on visa-related issues as officials from the Irish visa office in New Delhi will also participate in the virtual showcase.
“The education in Ireland virtual showcase promises to be a big event, with over 1,000 students on the day. It’s the perfect opportunity for Indian and Sri Lankan students to speak directly with admissions and academic staff from Ireland’s top institutions. Students can engage in a chat room format or through video calls,” said Barry O’Driscoll, regional manager, India and South Asia for Education in Ireland.
In the previous year, 3,000 Indian students travelled to Ireland to study, many of whom are exploring career opportunities that Ireland offers, the statement further said. Many of the participating institutions are also offering scholarships to Indian students.
Students can register for the virtual event which will be from 1 pm to 6 pm.
