Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology hosts two-day counsellors’ conclave

Counsellors from 10 states discussed career guidance, mental health and student development at Educators for Excellence: Counsellors’ Conclave at TIET.
NEW DELHI: Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) hosted the “Educators for Excellence: Counsellors’ Conclave”, in which various careers counselling session were organised. The two-day event was attended by education counsellors from over 10 states of the country. It was held on March 26 and 27. The participants discussed topics such as futuristic education and innovative edtech.
The attendees participated in several panel discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions. They shared their experience in career guidance, mental health, and holistic student development. The events were also attended by students and parents.
The participants resided in the students’ hostels in order to get a glimpse into student life at TIET. The conclave facilitated networking among counsellors, educators, and TIET faculty members in order to exchange ideas, best practices, and innovative approaches to enhance student support services.

TIET director Padmakumar Nair underscored the significance of collective efforts in moulding the educational landscape during the keynote session. He emphasized on the values of excellence seeking and intellectual humility. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished counsellors whose expertise and insights have not only enriched this event but also illuminated pathways for holistic student development. Their presence resonates deeply with our commitment to excellence and fosters a shared vision for the future of education,” he said.
