TNEA 2026 registration begins for engineering admissions; apply by June 2

TNEA 2026 Engineering Admissions: The DoTE will conduct the certificate verification process between June 8 and 20, and the rank list for BTech admissions will be released on June 29.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has opened the registration for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2026 today for admission to BTech programmes. Eligible candidates seeking admission to engineering courses at various government and government aided colleges in Tamil Nadu, can register for TNEA 2026 at tneaonline.org and dte.tn.gov.in.
The last date to register for TNEA 2026 is June 2 and eligible candidates will be able upload the relevant documents by June 6.
Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates should have to pay Rs 250 as TNEA 2026 registration fee, while the registration charges for Scheduled Tribe (ST) applicants is Rs 500.
There are around two lakh engineering seats available across over 400 colleges affiliated with Anna University in Tamil Nadu. The BTech seats will be allocated through an online counselling process held in a single-window system by the DoTE.
TNEA 2026 Schedule for BTech admissions
The DoTE will conduct the certificate verification process between June 8 and 20, and the rank list for engineering admissions will be released on June 29.
According to the instructions by the authority, candidates should have to upload their certificates for verification and in case of discrepancies, they must contact through their registered mobile number and email ID.
Notably, registered candidates will be given an opportunity to redress their grievances to the TNEA process, scheduled between June 30 and July 4.
“Applicants can call the integrated call centre set up at the DoTE on the toll free number 1800 425 0110 between 8 am and 6 pm or email at tneacare@gmail.com for any doubt during the registration process,” TNEA said in an official notification.
Last year, over 400 colleges took part in the TNEA 2026 counselling, offering a total of 2,54,585 engineering seats.
