TNEA Counselling 2024: BTech tentative allotment for round 2 candidates out at tneaonline.org
tneaonline.org: Candidates will have to confirm the TNEA engineering counselling tentative allotment by 5 pm on August 14. Allotment can be checked through TNEA login.

NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu has announced the tentative Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA 2024) seat allotment 2024 for round 2 candidates. Provisional allotment has been released for first round upward movement candidates, the officials informed. Candidates are required to login and download the TNEA allotment order 2024 for admission into engineering courses.
Those candidates who have been got their allotment upgraded will have to confirm the allocation by tomorrow, August 14, by 5 pm. The facility will be opened on the official website, tneaonline.org.
The directorate will hold multiple rounds of TNEA engineering counselling 2024. All rounds of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission will include choice filling, tentative allotment, confirmation of tentative allotment, reporting to college and payment of fees depending upon their confirmation.
Through the TNEA BTech counselling 2024, seats in government, government-aided engineering colleges, seats surrendered by the central government institutions, Central ElectroChemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi, Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Chennai, Indian Institute of Handloom Technology(IIHT), Salem, Anna University, and Annamalai University will be filled.

TNEA Counselling 2024: 6 verification options
Candidates will get six verification options after the tentative allotment for engineering admissions.
Accept and Join - Candidates who are satisfied with the allotted seat allotted will have to download the provisional allotment order and can report to the college on the specified date. Those failing to confirm the allocation will lose the allotted seats and will not be permitted to participate in any subsequent rounds.
Accept and Upward - Those satisfied with the allotment but wish to wait for allotment in higher order of their choice can opt for upward movement.
Decline and Upward - Candidate who are not satisfied with the allotted seat will get an option to decline the allotment, but will also get an option to wait for higher preference by choosing upward movement.
Decline and move to next round - Candidates who are not satisfied with the allotted seat and also do not wish to wait for upward movement and willing to participate in the next round can choose this option.
Decline and quit - Candidates who do not wish to participate in the subsequent rounds will be allowed to quit from the counselling process.
Upward or move to next round - If ‘no seat’ is allotted to the candidate based on all the choices, then this option will be shown. Such ‘no seat’ allotted candidates can opt for upward movement. In case if a seat is available during upward movement, it will be allotted. If no seats are available during upward movement, then candidates will be moved to the next round, the official information bulletin read.
