TS LAWCET counselling 2025 registration begins today; who’s eligible?

The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) will commence the registration for Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) 2025 counselling today, August 4, for admission to three-year and five-year LLB programmes. Eligible aspirants will be able to apply for TS LAWCET counselling 2025 on the official website, lawcetadm.tgche.ac.in.

As per the TS LAWCET counselling schedule, the last date to register for law admissions is August 14. The physical verification of special category certificates will be conducted from August 8 to 14.

TS LAWCET counselling process comprises registration, certificate verification, choice-filling, and seat allotment. Candidates will be allotted seats based on TS LAWCET 2025 result.

TS LAWCET Counselling 2025: Eligibility criteria

The minimum eligibility criteria for three-year and five-year LLB programmes are as follows:

• Candidate should be of Indian nationality.
• Candidate should satisfy the local or non-local status requirement.

3-year LLB

• Candidates should have a graduation degree of a recognized university or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the universities concerned with 45% of aggregate marks (42% for OBC category and 40% for SC/ST). If any candidate secured less than 45%, 42% and 40% respectively in graduation, he or she should have secured the same percentage or more on the aggregate in any post graduation or BEd.
• Candidates who have passed degree examination by single sitting without undergoing three years course either through regular or private or correspondence and those who obtained the degree through open university directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible.

5-year LLB

• Candidate should have passed two year intermediate examination (with 10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks (42% for OBC category and 40% for SC/ST) or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the university concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, TS or AP.
• Applicants who have obtained Class 12 or graduation / post graduation through open universities without having any basic qualification (SSC) are not eligible for admission into LLB courses.
• Applicants belonging to the general category will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 800 while Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates will be required to make payment of Rs 500. The fee payment can be done through debit card or credit card or internet banking.
