Download NowThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will receive technical assistance from experts at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur after concerns were raised over glitches in the CBSE post-result services portal.

The move comes after several students and parents reported technical difficulties while accessing re-evaluation and other post-result services on the CBSE portal. In response, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan directed that teams of professors and technical experts from the two IITs be deployed to support the board in streamlining the process.
According to the Ministry of Education, the expert teams will work closely with CBSE to improve the portal’s technical systems and workflows to ensure a smoother experience for students applying for re-evaluation and related services.

IIT Madras, Kanpur to improve CBSE portal infrastructure
The technical teams from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur will focus on strengthening the stability and performance of the CBSE post-result services portal. Officials said the experts will review server performance, system reliability, and the overall robustness of the IT infrastructure.
The teams have also been tasked with examining issues related to login authentication, user access systems, and payment gateways to ensure that students do not face disruptions while using the portal. The government said corrective technical measures would be implemented on priority following the review.
Dharmendra Pradhan stressed that the interests of students must remain the top priority and directed CBSE to take immediate corrective steps to ensure the system becomes more transparent, efficient, and user-friendly for students.

CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 Statistics
The CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 recorded an overall pass percentage of 85.20 per cent. Out of 17,80,365 registered students, 17,68,968 appeared for the examination and 15,07,109 successfully passed. Girls once again outperformed boys, registering a pass percentage of 88.86 per cent compared to 82.13 per cent among boys, creating a gap of 6.73 percentage points. More than 94,000 students scored above 90 per cent marks in the examination. Among regions, Trivandrum emerged as the best-performing region with a pass percentage of 95.62 per cent.
