UPSC CSE prelims examination consists of two objective-type papers: General Studies (GS) Paper 1 and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). While GS Paper 1 is considered for merit and cut-off determination, CSAT is qualifying in nature, requiring candidates to secure at least 33 percent marks. Those who pass the exam will be eligible for the next stage of the recruitment process, i.e. Civil Services Main Examination.
In a first, the Commission released the provisional answer key this year and invited representations from candidates through its Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep). Aspirants were allowed to submit objections within the deadline. As per the pattern, experts will go through the objections raised and changes (if any) will get reflected in the final answer key.
