Vivekananda Global University hosts media fest 'Udaan'; Short films screened

Vivekananda Global University organised the media fest 'Udaan'. Media professionals arrived at the event, who interacted with the students.
NEW DELHI: The Vivekananda Global University (VGU) organised a one-day long media fest titled 'Udaan' recently. As many as 200 media students, professionals and academic experts had arrived at the event. Some of the professionals who ensured their presence on the occasion included Rajesh Badal, Vijay Vidrohi, Viplove Gupte and others.
In the media fest, short films were screened and video as well as audio clips, along with podcasts and short stories were also screened, which were then evaluated by the experts present on the occasion.
VGU president Vijay Vir Singh addressed the people present in the fest on the occasion. He said: "The freedom of speech as enshrined in the constitution of India is not absolute and must be exercised keeping in view the national interest".

Radio expert Viplove Gupte then took over the programme and said: "There is only one mantra for success in journalism, and that is to become a good writer". He also underlined the importance of good writing skills.
Post this, VGU also launched its podcast channel named "V-Talks". Gupte inaugurated the podcast channel. Following this, the students belonging to different colleges and universities were given prizes. The students interacted with the experts and asked questions from them, which they answered at length.
