Recently, the AICTE directed Postgraduate Diploma Management (PGDM) institutions to apply for its approval before starting admission for the academic year 2022-23. It also warned that legal action will be taken against any institution offering any technical course or programme in violation of regulations or approval process handbook.
The council also decided not to give partial approval of technical courses to central, state, private, and deemed to be universities.
In February, the AICTE said that all deemed to be universities that have not obtained approval so far are required to obtain AICTE approval in the academic year 2022-23, otherwise the Council will be constrained to stop giving approval obtained partially to only few technical programmes.
