AICTE holds technical textbook prize distribution function; 12 authors felicitated

As many as 12 authors were felicitated in the function. Prizes worth Rs 5,65,000 were awarded to the authors present in the function.

NEW DELHI: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) organised a technical textbook prize distribution function today on March 30, 2022. The chairman of AICTE felicitated the authors of Hindi books as well as those of other Indian languages in the function.

Since 1998, the AICTE has been organising an annual function to award the authors of Hindi books and authors of technical subject books, written for degree, diploma, ITI, technician and translation level textbooks, a statement from AICTE said.

The first prize worth Rs 1,25,000 was awarded to Neeraj Kumar, author of the book titled 'Vyapar Ethos'. The second prize of Rs 75,000 went to author Gupta, while the third prize of Rs 50,000 was jointly given to Ashok Goyal and Arjun Kamal for the book, 'Principles of Design'.

For the diploma level original writing, the first prize worth Rs 75,000 was awarded to Dilip Gangil for the book 'General Mechanical engineering'. The second prize worth Rs 50,000, under this category went to Sadiq Khan for 'Polytechnic applied chemistry' and to KK Gupta for the book 'Environmental engineering and safety'. Similarly, the third prize worth Rs 40,000 was given to Manoj Kumar Varshney for his work 'Structural mechanics' and Jayant Kumar Raj and Satish Kumar Thakur for the book 'Analog Electronic circuit-Z2'.

In addition to this, Ashish Kumar was awarded the first prize of Rs 50,000 for the book titled 'Machinist practical', while Manoj Kumar Varshney, Abhinav Varshney, Paras Kumar Varshney, Rohit Kumar Varshney and Arpit Kumar Varshney jointly bagged a prize of Rs 50,000 for the book titled 'Design of steel and masonry structures' for the degree and Diploma level.
