AICTE to offer 6 online credit courses in upcoming semester of January 2023

AICTE has also adopted credit transfers up to 40 per cent on the UGC pattern in continuation of AICTE Regulation.
NEW DELHI: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is offering six online credit courses during the upcoming semester starting January 2023. Enrollment for these online courses, as per an AICTE notification dated January 9, said would start in the second week of January 2023 and the last date of registration for examination will be notified later, it added.
The higher education institutions, according to para 4(7) of the Gazette Notification for Credit Framework Regulations, may allow credits only up to 40 per cent of the total courses, being offered in a particular programme in a semester through the online credit course through SWAYAM Platform.

AICTE has also adopted credit transfers up to 40 per cent on UGC pattern in continuation of AICTE (Credit Framework for Online Learning Courses through SWAYAM) Regulation and has already urged all universities and colleges, from time to time, to allow credit transfer up to 40 per cent of the total courses being offered in a semester through SWAYAM and to encourage the students of their colleges to take advantage of the online programmes and learning materials through SWAYAM Platform and utilise the credit transfer facitity of SWAYAM as much as possible, it added.
