Those students that secure marks between 360 to 600, 250 to 259 and 198 to 259 will pass the AP SSC exam 2023 with 1st, 2nd and 3rd division, respectively.

The highest marks scored in the AP SSC 2023 exam is 598 out of 600 marks. Parvatipuram district recorded the highest pass percent of 87.47% 

In an order that was issued in May 2021, AP government announced that all schools will be divided into 3 institutions- pre-primary schools, foundational schools (pre-primary to Class 2), and secondary schools (Class 3 to Class 12). These institutions implied that students will be shifted to closest secondary school. This plan violated the Right to Education Act 2009. 

"It very clearly says that elementary schools should be within 1 km from the house of students. Now they want students to go to schools located 3 kilometers away," said an activist.

Out of 4,32,641 students, a total of 3,49,673 English-medium students passed the AP SSC Class 10th exam 2023. 

A total of 3.89% of AP schools have increased their pass percentage. There is an increase of 5% overall pass percentage this year. 

At the press conference, Botsa Satyanarayana, education minister AP announced that the AP SSC supplementary exam 2023 dates will be out in two days, i.e by May 8, 2023. 

As per the AP 10th results 2023, English medium students recorded 80.82% whereas only 50% Telugu medium students were declared pass.

The AP education minister Botcha Satyanarayana announced that there will be no revaluation this year. He said: “30,000 people were involved in evaluation of the AP 10th answer sheets. So we are trying to create a good environment for them so that they are not inconvenienced. We are also doing an analysis of which schools are weak to take measures to improve. Next year, we are aiming to achieve 100% in AP 10th exams.”

“Government is planning to provide coaching for all failed students in select schools and districts,” Botcha Satyanarayana said while announcing the result.

The AP SSC 10th recounting of BSEAP result will be held on May 13, but there will be no revaluation of answer sheets.

In addition to the increasing concern over dropout rates, the ministry of education told the Rajya Sabha in December last year that the maximum in 2,124 Telangana schools do not have toilet facilities. The situation is similar in the neighbouring state, Karnataka, where as many as 1,001 schools, including 943 government, 10 aided and 48 private schools do not have separate toilets for girl students, as per the UDISE report.
