Subscribe NowNEW DELHI: The Andhra Pradesh school department will start the registration process for APTET 2024 on the official website, cse.ap.gov.in, on February 8. Candidates aspiring for teaching jobs in schools run by the state government, rural and urban local bodies, all welfare and societies and private schools will have to apply for the AP Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) till February 18.
Candidates applying for the Classes 1 to 5 teaching jobs will have to appear for Paper 1(A) and Classes 6 to 8 have to register for Paper 2(A). Candidates who intends to be special education teachers in Classes 1 to 5 and Classes 6 to 8 will have to apply for Paper 1(B) and Paper 2(B), respectively.
Registration fee
Applicants applying for the APTET 2024 will have to submit a registration fee of Rs 750 for each paper through the payment gateway from February 8 to 17. No candidates will be allowed to edit or modify the submitted application.
The APTET 2024 will be conducted through online mode in 24 districts except Manyam and Alluri Sitharama Raju districts in Andhra Pradesh. The department will open a window for candidates to opt the district and session in the available centres indicated in the website. No change of the examination centre will be allowed once opted during the window.

Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for Paper 1(A) will have fulfilled one of these education criteria:
- Candidates who have scored a minimum of 45% marks in Class 12 or its equivalent.
- Candidates who have passed in two-year diploma in education (special education)/ two year diploma in elementary education/ four years of Bachelor’s in Elementary Education
- Candidates who have scored at least 50% marks in Class 12 and must have two-year diploma in elementary education/ four years of Bachelor’s in Elementary Education/two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
- Graduation and two-year diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
- Post Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated BEd/ MEd.
Candidates applying for Paper 2(A) should have a graduation degree in Bachelor’s of Oriental Language or its equivalent or concerned language or concerned subject as one of the optional subjects or a bachelor’s degree in literature or post-graduation in the concerned language.
