NEW DELHI : The Assam government has decided to cancel the Assam board exam 2021 for Class 10 and 12. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the state. Earlier, both AHSEC and SEBA board exams were scheduled to be held from May 11, 2021.

The decision was taken in a high-level meeting with the Assam CM and other representatives from the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council and the Board of Secondary Education Assam.
Ater long-pending request by students to cancel Assam Class 10 and 12 exams, the government has finally cancelled the Assam board exam 2021.
The evaluation criteria will be formulated within a week and Assam board results will be declared by July 31, said Education Minister Ranoj Pegu. He also added that the two committees will be formed to decide evaluation criteria for Class 10 and Class 12 students.
The SEBA and AHSEC result 2021 will now be prepared on the basis of evaluation criteria to promote students to the next Class.
Earlier, Assam CM Himanta Himanta Biswa Sarma said that a final decision on Assam board exam 2021 Class 10, 12 will be taken on June 18 after consulting with all stakeholders.
