The ISO certificates were received by Anand Kishore, chairman of BSEB. Earlier, the board has also received the Prime Minister's Award for excellence in public administration for the reforms and innovations done by the committee in the examination system, the press release states.
In the last few years, the board has transformed the entire examination process into a transparent and student-friendly system by use of IT, software and technology in all the board’s functions, it added.
The ISO certificate on record management, information security and quality to Bihar board has been granted for its work on digitizing the Class 10 and 12 record from the year 1983 to 2025.
It has also taken a step towards nature by making the committee records paperless, enabling the implementation of record management and information security as transparent and accountable.
Additionally, an advanced data centre with a capacity of 200 TB has been established to provide security and efficient maintenance of all student records, as well as hosting various computerized applications.
The government has implemented online enrollment for intermediate classes through the Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS).
