Bihar Teacher Transfer: School postings will be issued today for 881 female teachers awaiting schools and 1,063 without any allotment. Another 8,378 Class 6 to 12 teachers are set to be relieved.
The Department of Education, Bihar, is set to release the posting orders of 10,322 female teachers today, June 30, as part of the ongoing teacher transfer and posting process across the state. This includes multiple categories of teachers whose transfers or postings were pending after earlier rounds of district or school allotment.
According to the official data, a total of 881 female teachers who were allotted districts but not schools will be issued school postings today. Along with this, 1,063 teachers who had not been allotted either a district or school due to the current low availability of teachers in their existing schools will now be assigned new postings.
The department further informed that a total of 8,378 teachers currently teaching Classes 6 to 12 are scheduled to be relieved today. Of these, 2,043 teachers will receive both district and school allotments.
The remaining 6,335 teachers will be allotted districts, and their school postings will be decided by the concerned district establishment committees following district allotment. As per the figures shared, 65,277 transfer orders have been issued so far. Of these, 4,110 teachers have declined the transfers.

Mutual transfers for same subject, category teachers
Earlier, the government had acknowledged concerns raised by several teachers over the ongoing transfers. Under this arrangement, teachers from the same subject and category — such as regular with regular, special with special, and school teacher with school teacher — will be allowed to form groups of up to 10 members and mutually exchange postings within their existing schools.
Teachers can log in to the e-ShikshaKosh portal to find others seeking transfers. After OTP verification, mobile numbers will be shared to enable direct contact and agreement on preferred schools. Transfer orders will be issued within three days of application, and teachers will have to join the new school within seven days.
If any teacher in the group fails to join, all transfer orders in that group will be cancelled. As per the official notice issued earlier, the mutual transfer facility will be open from July 10 and remain available through the month.
