BIMTECH launches 2-year PGDM programme in AI, Data Science

Graduates of the BIMTECH PGDM programme will be well-prepared to work on cutting-edge AI initiatives in industries such as banking, education, and cybersecurity.
NEW DELHI : Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) has announced the launch of a full-time 24-month Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) degree in artificial intelligence (AI) and data science.
Recognising the growing market requirement for competent individuals in these areas, the newly launched BIMTECH programme is designed to provide a blend of AI and data science technology with management themes from a number of disciplines both on a national and global scale.
Harivansh Chaturvedi, director, BIMTECH, said, “In India, demand for AI and Data Science professionals is expected to exceed 1 million by 2024, and there is currently a 51% gap between demand and supply for such professionals. Experts predict that by 2030, there will be a 31.4% increase in jobs related to data science and mathematical science, mostly AI-based.”
Aside from academic learning, BIMTECH PGDM in AI and data science will allow students to gain practical experience which will prepare them for real-world applications.
Students who complete the PGDM will be prepared to work on cutting-edge AI projects in fields such as finance, education, automotive, retail, entertainment, cybersecurity, and sustainable conservation, as well as other verticals such as managing financial portfolios, developing and deploying smart logistics systems, and creating recommender systems for e-commerce using AI.
