The CAT 2021 topper did not take any coaching but practiced mock series of various institutes. He says that consistent preparation, maintaining composure during the CAT exam day and constant support from his parents are the factors behind his success.
When asked about his CAT preparation strategy, he says, “I prepared mostly from mocks, wrote about 60 of them. Writing a couple of mocks over the weekend analyzing them midweek, was the routine for me for the last 6 months. I was comfortable with VARC and Quants from the beginning, DILR sets were pretty new and challenging during the initial phase after 10-15 mocks got adjusted to them and everything was smooth from thereon”.
Saivardhan says he expects a call from all institutes but when it comes to his dream B-school, he would choose IIM Ahmedabad. The CAT topper is also a fan of football and cricket and plays a lot of video games which acted as a source of relaxation and recreation amidst his CAT exam preparation.
Palli Dolananda Saivardhan in his message for future CAT aspirants says, “CAT isn’t the only option, it’s one among many. Don’t worry about the result, it will just add extra pressure, keep calm, and maintain your composure during the exam, you will sail through”.
